Tucandeo

Trance Techno House Electronica +1

Irish Trance duo Tucandeo are currently riding the crest of a wave with massive production, remix and gig success in 2011. Growing up in Ireland and meeting not by coincidence at a Dance festival Kevin & Danny decided to pull their skills of production and Dj-ing together to maximise their talent.

After signing and releasing their debut release in 2009 it has been simply one hit record after another with the dynamic duo releasing original productions and remixes on labels such as the massive “Coldharbour” owned by Trance legend Markus Schulz, Roger Shah’s “Magic Island” and the fresh and exciting “Infrasonic” label and many more. Their tracks and remixes have been supported by some of the biggest acts in today’s modern trance scene. Markus Schulz is a commonly known admirer of the duo and he regularly supports their work both in his radio shows and his live sets. Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Agnelli & Nelson, Stoneface & Terminal and Matt Darey are all known fans and supporters of the duo’s work also.

The Tucandeo sound is dark, moody and melodic, it oozes that idyllic Coldharbour sound music that is perfect for big room clubs and which is certainly going to make walls and dance floors vibrate. As well as the duo’s main project they also have a side project which is exclusive to Armada Music on Roger Shahs’ “Magic Island Recordings.” The alias is called “Storyline” and this is used when Tucandeo want to explore and experiment their more Balearic, vocal side

The last year has been one of many firsts for the guys and they certainly did not disappoint wherever they played. From humble beginnings on their local dance scene in Ireland, the duo are now starting their journey of touring the world and playing further afield. Tucandeo have now become regulars and crowd favourites at Irish super club “Lush!” where they have headlined alongside and supported artists such as Markus Schulz, Sander Van Doorn, Gareth Emery and Cosmic Gate to name a few. Aside from regular gigs in Ireland the duo have made their mainland UK debut and twice this year took to the main stage of a festival in Holland as they played at both “Luminosity Before The Energy” and “Luminosity Beach”. Plans for more debuts in late 2011 are underway and will hopefully see Tucandeo travel to South America and Asia.

These gigs along with their successful production background has really lifted their profile and made those outside of Ireland who weren’t already, start to stand up and take notice. If 2010 brought them production success with hits such as “Waiting For The Sun”, “Layla” and remixes for the likes of Pobsky, Vadim Dreamer and Gemini’s Edge then 2011 has bore even greater success. They started off by releasing the beautiful vocal number “Only We Know” and followed that up with the dark sounding “Lockdown” which was featured by Markus Schulz on his “Prague 11” compilation album. Then we had the massive remix of Markus’s own track “What Could Have Been” which he featured on the remixed version of his latest artist album. A successful collaboration with Jorge Nava lead to “Somwhere I Belong” being used by Sied Van Riel on his “Rielism” compilation album also. Not to rest on their laurels, Danny & Kevin continued with their relentless studio work and have produced recent remixes for “Grube & Hovsepian” on Coldharbour and 3rd Planet on “Infrasonic”. The duo have also finished brand new original tracks such as “Galatea” and “Macula” while their bootlegs of “Tim Berg – Bromance” and “Ferry Corsten – Punk” have been doing serious damage.

The duo have also launched their own monthly radio show in 2011. Airing on leading online station, Afterhours.fm, you can tune in to “In-Sessions” on the first Monday of every month from 5pm UK, 6pm CET.
