DJ Tim Fisher

Born in Swindon, Wilts, and regular DJ appearances started out at the age of 16 at Gold Diggers nightclub in Chippenham, Wilts. From there, things spiralled out of control and led Tim to help promote and circulate info on the notorious illegal M25 orbital parties, legendary Tubbs Wood parties, Castle Morton, Spiral Tribe and Adrenalin Rush events, and in doing so ran up some of the highest mobile phone bills in the country (just to get people to the venues) Dedication to the cause

After the parties were slowly being put to an end by the authorities and the advent of the newly formed Criminal Justice bill Tim went on to assist the big players in organised outdoor events and effectively became the biggest flyer distributor in the south west of England, working for the likes of Perception, Fantazia, Dreamscape, Dance Planet, X-Static and World Dance to name a few. This led to making hundreds of contacts in clubs & bars across the country which in turn led to more DJ Slots all across the country from the Q Club in Birmingham, to the Zap in Brighton to the Warehouse in Plymouth. Many a weekend was spent distributing some 500,000 flyers in 1 weekend with a team of 5 cars at 25 destinations spanning some 1000 miles up and down the country and at the same time juggling DJ-ing at 3 places on a Friday night, this was the normal routine for Tim in the early 90’s

Exposed to the original pioneering and eclectic sounds of electro & Hip-Hop via Radio Carolina, Jeff Young (technically the first Pete Tong!) and Tristan B on Bristol Radio stations whilst still at school exchanging and bartering C90 mix tapes, Tim was continually inspired from artists like Depeche Mode, New Order, Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets, Tangerine Dream, Mantronix, Africa Bambaataa, Grandmaster Flash and too many more to mention Tim soon acquired a taste for quality house music and funky beats which became very popular breaking out from the Manchester/Hacienda indie scene

Tim also was responsible for putting together 3 very successful albums on behalf of a a production company based out of Cheltenham in 1995 and was heavily involved in the A&R and licensing of all the music contained on the 3 albums “ A retrospective of house 91-95” all of which attained BPI Silver disc Sales status and were hugely successful mixes featuring the likes of John Kelly, Seb Fontaine and Norman Jay to name a few.
