Growing up in the early to mid 90’s rave scene in Nelson, New Zealand, Juan became hooked on the sounds of Hardcore, and then found his soul in Christchurch in the form of Jungle. Now obsessed with heavy bass-lines and amen breaks, he amassed a formidable vinyl collection and began his DJ career playing regular nights at the infamous Bath St club in Dunedin and other venues around the country.
After numerous gigs and a break from the NZ scene, Juan has re-emerged and plays out on a regular basis in bass-heavy clubs around NZ and previously hosted a radio show on Boosh FM entitled 'In The Jungle'.
Currently working hard in the studio, Juan has a host of forthcoming 170 tunes on labels such as CX Digital and his first solo EP on Danger Chamber Digital. He is also in the studio producing techno with the same characteristic deep, dark, atmospheric and dub-tribal elements found in his 170bpm tunes.
