Sted-E and Hybrid Heights

Electro House Progressive House House

In bringing their powerful electronic dance music forces together, New York natives Sted-E and Hybrid Heights prove that the whole truly is greater than the sum of its’ parts. Combining two entirely different flavors of signature New York sounds, the fusion created by these two dance music masterminds only continues to grow, garnering interest and attention from a global fan-base.
Sted-E, aka Eddie Alcivar, grew up in Brooklyn, NY listening to genres such as salsa, blues, soul, disco, rock and hip-hop. These sounds built the basis of his DJ career and it wasn’t long before he attained residencies at New York’s legendary clubs clubs Copacabana and Latin Quarters. Soon, he expanded his professional repertoire to include remixing and production for acts such as Ja Rule, Christina Milian, La India and Proyecto Uno. Next, Sted-E next teamed with producers Anthony Fonseca and Anton Bass to form Speakerbox, who’s smash dance anthem “Time” reached No. 5 on the Billboard Club Play chart and Top 20 on Billboard Dance Radio, eventually going on to earn an International Dance Music Award nomination in the Best Pop-Dance category in 2008 where it was up against tracks by Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.
Hybrid Heights, aka Carlos Rosillo, was raised in Queens, NY, and grew up listening to a combination of South American artists and progressive music. From that, he conjured a novel progressive "chopped" house signature as a New York-based remixer, which is where the “Hybrid” part of his DJ name came from. Hybrid Heights' musical imprint was cemented in 2008 with the underground smash "Old Skool New," which reached the top 30 on Billboard's Hot Club Play chart.
In 2006, the two DJs met by chance during an event that Sted-E was DJing and Hybrid Heights happened to be working. Knowing that their sounds would be a great compliment, it wasn’t long before the two began creating together and in 2009, went on to sign on as both a duo and individual artists to New York’s dance-based label, Sea to Sun Records. Since working together, Sted-E & Hybrid Heights have evolved their talent from eclectic producing to brilliant remixing and have worked with an array of artists including Akon, Sylvia Tosun, Freedom Williams, Todd Terry, Mr. V. Their mixes have topped global charts and have been supported by the world’s biggest DJ’s such as Armin Van Buuren, Gareth Emery, Fedde Le Grand, Stonebridge, Sidney Samson, Hardwell, Dash Berlin and Matt Darey. They’ve also had a number of their tracks licensed to labels such as Armada and Defected. One of their tracks
