Deep House Techno House

During the late 1990's I was exposed to early Hip-Hop and Techno, and DJ culture in the Philadelphia and New York City areas. Consequently, I started to buy vinyl and I also inherited some crates of records from a friend. These are my most significant encounters with music at an early age, along with coming upon boxes full of records and vintage recording equipment that belonged to my grandfather, and when my father introduced me to the productions of Jean Michel Jarre and Isao Tomita. I began experimenting with sound using a Roland 909-drum machine, Korg Electribe, MPC, microKorg, and some software. Classic electro funk and Detroit Techno with a few other influences in between defined the direction that I took with music. I acquired a set of vinyl turntables and a mixer and brought them along with me to Honduras.

In 2003, while still in high school I started playing at clubs and participated at shows in my hometown of Tegucigalpa. A year later, I took part of the first event in Honduras with an international DJ headliner. Since then, I became resident at the venue of El Molino. 2006 marked the beginning of a series of events that helped give shape to the local scene with DJ meet ups, after parties and 15-hour dance marathons featuring my own extended sets and those of top regional talent. This led me to perform in the Central American region’s most acclaimed events alongside world-renowned artists, and has given me the opportunity to travel and perform in several cities in the United States.

My up and coming label and event production company, Visionary Rhythm, is responsible for bringing the authentic sound of Detroit to Central America featuring Underground Resistance. The “New Paradigm EP” will soon be out on True Type Tracks featuring an original version of New Paradigm from myself and remixes by DJ Dex (UR/Ican) and Xpansul (True type Tracks/Plus 8). My sets are high-energy driven. I consider music to be like a story where space is infinite and time is not linear, emotions are pure and transmittable, sound has taste and color, and it's as if you can see the music. Between playing parties and festivals, I have continued my education with courses in sound design and I am currently studying Audio Engineering in Los Angeles.
