Born July 2nd in Guelph, Ontario, Canada a.k.a. The Royal City. Red Lion began playing guitar at 14 and his love for all forms of music has grown and spawned into new styles and flavours since then. An avid supporter of Canadian Hockey and NCAA Division 1 Basketball. His two favourite teams are the Chapel Hill North Carolina Tarheels where he lived as a young lad and his new home in Toronto were it's almost mandatory to root for the NHL's Maple Leafs.
Started spinning Jungle in 1998 as a then student of DJ's King Pin, Leroy Brown and Quartz who later, along with Red Lion, formed the Royal City Jungle Alliance or ROCJA. Also in 1998 he began working (alongside some close friends) for Toronto's Lifeforce Industries. Aiding in the promotion and production of such legendary Toronto events as Connected, Freakin', Bittersweet, W.E.M.F. Lifeforce Fridays, I-Dance and of course the Dose and Syrous Anniversary parties.
Over the years Red Lion has opened for legends of the scene such as Andy C, DJ Hype, Doc Scott, Aphrodite, Ed Rush & Optical & Jumping Jack Frost to name a few. A regular at the World Electronic Music Festival (WEMF) since 1999 as well as the infamous Harvest Festival in Ontario at the end of each summer. You can catch him gracing the decks in Toronto clubs, on the beaches and at the numerous festivals in and around the city.
Jungle, Drum and Bass is a true passion which has blossomed over the last decade of his life and he looks forward to being involved in any capacity as the music and the movement in Toronto continues to grow.
