No Requests

Deep House Tech House House Indie Dance / Nu Disco

No Requests (aka Tyler Withrow) is a Los Angeles based Dj who has found a passion in the local funky/disco house scene. No Requests did not originally get involved with electronic music by listening to house. He first found his love for electronic music when he attended the Insomniac event Electric Daisy Carnival in 2007 which was held in Los Angeles. As soon as the music hit his ears he was instantly hooked. The sounds of Above & Beyond, Paul Oakenfold, Deep Dish and many other superstars grabbed the young Dj’s heart and it has been history ever since.

No Requests began experimenting with Djing in 2009 during his freshman year of college at California State University, Chico. As he progressed from being a simple bed room Dj to playing house parties, his style grew as well. Moving from trance, to electro, to progressive house, No Requests dabbled in many different genre’s until he finally found his home playing the funk, which was heavily influenced by his Dj partner Gax. In 2010 No Requests joined KCSCradio.com in Chico State to expand his musical horizons, as well as push his sound on the local scene. He moved up into the position of Electronic Music Director in the past year and is applying to become to the General Manager in the Fall of 2012. No Requests can be heard weekly on Thursday nights on KCSCradio.com dropping house from 10pm to midnight. He also has played live at Noble in San Francisco, Vibe in Chico, Electrosunset in Chico, and any Wild Oak and KCSC related events.

When school is out of session, No Requests can be seen in the local LA scene playing along side his good friend Gax ( aka Stephen Gakneras) forming Phunk Phenomenon. The duo has played at the Vanguard, JW Marriot, and recently for KCSC’s 60th Anniversary up in Chico. Great artists like Dj Dan, Dj Heather, Sonny Fodera, Jay West, Miguel Migs, Fred Everything, and Giom are enormous influences on the sound of No Requests as well as Phunk Phenomenon. Both Dj’s push their sound as hard as they can, striving for nothing short of greatness.

The young Dj has recently started to produce his own tracks, in hopes to have his first solid EP by the time he graduates college. He hopes to one day have his own label and be able to tour the United States, if not the world, spreading the love of house music to all that will listen.
