Bologna, Italy House Electro House Progressive House

Matte Botteghi, born in Bologna in 1985, is one of the most active DJs in the Italian clubbing scene. Botteghi started his artistic career as an actor and inherited passion for music from his father, who is a guitar player and guitar collector. He attended acting class until he was 16 and even took part to Sting's music video Fields of Gold...but then comes the music.

After his debut as resident DJ in Bologna's most important clubs, Botteghi began performing as guest DJ all across Italy. His growth is constant, mainly because he has mastered the secrets of the trade in one of the milestone clubs of Milano Marittima, Caino Fashion Club, where he has been playing since 2006.

His sound is mainly electro-progressive. Among the others, he's been playing at Brescia's Number One, Riccione's Aquafan and Cocorico, Rimini's Molo Street Parade and the "Spring Break" in Croatia. From 2012 up until today, Botteghi has shared the stage with top international DJs such as David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Merk & Kremont, Pink Is Punk, Marnik, Craig David, Junior Jack, Club Dogo, Taboo (The Black Eyed Peas), Boy George, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Martin Solveig, Bingo Players, Mike Candys e Plastik Funk.

Botteghi started recording in 2011 and since then he has collaborated with the likes of Federico Scavo, Stefano Pain, Maurizio Gubellini, Andrea Arcangeli ed Ema Stokholma. In 2015, he published an album to celebrate his 30th birthday and it features all his muscial journey, from his first single "For the world" to important remix such as The Avener, Fade Out Lines and 5 Seconds - the latter supported by Thomas Gold.

Between a production and a remix Matte always finds the time to produce Mash-Ups and Bootlegs. These are widely used by colleagues at their soirees and even used by national radios such as RTL 102.5, Radio Deejay, Radio 105, m2o in their radio programmes.
