KALIDON aka Tassos Kalidonis

Tasos was born on the 16th of January 1975 in Rhodes. He bought his first vinyl at the age of 12 and at the same time he started collecting passionately badges and cassettes. • Growing up, he used to gather us, all his friends, around at his house to listen to his new records and to show us his amazing collection of badges which was getting bigger and bigger. • At the really young age of 14 Tasos
met Petros Triantafillou, one of the best DJs and radio producers of the island of Rhodes who offered him the position of assistant in 9.59 radio station. This was the starting point of his career. • Throughout his school years he used to organise amazing parties accompanied by Sakis Polichronis and John Brokos. None of us can forget those moments! • In 1992, the time had come for him, so he started DJ-ing in the Café Opera as the assistant of Manolis Koliadis. At the same time he started his radio programme on 9.59 radio station. He was one of the first radio producers who played techno music on the radio in the early 90s. • In 1993, Tasos became the resident DJ of the Club Amazon. • In 1996 he decided that he wanted to open a new chapter in his music career and went to Salonika where he worked and studied Film Direction and Montage. His passion for music didn’t allow him to follow a different career related to his studies. He also managed to meet really good DJs who gave him the chance to see music from a different perspective. His friendship with local DJs remains close until now. • Every summer, Tasos used to return to his island, Rhodes, where his fans and his adorable mum, Mrs. Peli, longed for his return. • The year 2000 finds Tasos working at Desnuda and Angel clubs in Rhodes. At the same time he started his radio programme in the prime time zone of Radio 1 station, 6 to 8. • In 2002 the team of the famous Cream club of Liverpool chooses him out of ten other djs to be their resident dj. He experiences the best time of his career djing in Club Bed, Faliraki, Rhodes. It was the best year of his life. • From 2002 to 2005, Tasos worked as a resident DJ of the Rodia Mare Group (Stafida, Studio 54, Paradiso, Es Paradis,El Divino). • In 2005, apart from playing delightful music, he also got his skilled hands on the management of one of the most crowded clubs and cafés in Florina. His successful career as a manager in Florina lasted four years, until 2008, when he returned to his hometown working as a resident DJ of the Sting Club in Faliraki and the unforgettable day parties of the Elli Beach Bar. Parties at the Senso Bar in the old town and the Amphitheatre Club in Lindos follow, as well as his supporting set for the one David Morales. •In 2009 starts him famous residency in the hottest club of the city of Rhodes CLO where his Friday ‘I’m in love nights’ remain till today the talk of the town. •In 2011 he moved to New York City for a winter season residency in the club Censo. This was a unique opportunity for him to play for American audience and he loved it. •In 2012 he returned to he’s favourite island Rhodes and back to CLO club. •This summer Tassos is the Saturday nights resident dj in the Arches club in Lindos and throughs parties all around the island while getting ready for special nights in club Ridge in Belgium, Janga beach in Rome and also his supporting set for one the the greatest dance music djs in the world Sebastian Ingrosso from Swedish House Mafia. •Through the years, Tasos has developed a versatile sound and can mix pretty much everything. His passion for music though is still genuine and it equals his passion for delivering a fantastic night for all of us who listen to his music when we go to the clubs and bars he works for or when we listen to our favourite radio show he broadcasts on Radio 1. • Nowadays, Tasos is not only DJ-ing at various clubs and bars in Rhodes, but he is also looking for new talents in music. His passion for music and its development in Greece is unrivalled!
