Francis Galante

Italy House Indie Dance / Nu Disco Deep House

Francis Galante has always been a dedicated music lover. In 1975, at the tender age of 15 (do the maths, if you like), he joined one of the few underground radio programmes of the time. That rare spot was aptly called "Underground". Thus, Galante began to spin platters from the likes of Jethro Tull, Earth, Wind & Fire, Kool & The Gang, King Crimson and PFM. The message was: music knows no frontiers. His 2-hour slot (5 nights a week) came to an end 3 years later. In the meantime, Francis had gathered an impressive music knowledge. His main passion was dance music. 1978 saw his debut in the dj-booth in a club in Veneto (Italy). He rocked the place and people liked his sound. That night Francis realised dance music had to become a proper job, not just a free-time experience. From 1980 to 1990, Francis spins records for 200 nights every year, witnessing the rise of the very genre that changed everything: HOUSE MUSIC. From the early Nineties he has started showing his love for everything soulful house. His sound is a near-perfect blend of soft basslines and sun-kissed melodies. The clubs that have welcomed his sets throughout the years are too many to mention:.. Kursaal,(Lignano Sabbiadoro).. Kama Kama,(Versilia).. Eccentrica,(Genova).. Matilda,(Jesolo).. Mucca Assassina (Roma).. Cocoricò,(Riccione).. Pascià,(Riccione).. Mr Charlie,(Lignano Sabbiadoro).. Beach Solare (Milano).. Mantra (Sardegna).. Peter Pan (Riccione).. Tocqueville (Milano).. Alter Ego (Verona) .. are amongst the very best of them... From 2000 to 2008 he becomes the resident dj of Mazoom-Le Plaisir, where he shares his booth with high-profile dj/producers like Toni Humpries, Frankie Knuckles, Little Louie Vega, Terry Hunter, Joe Claussel, Danny Krivit, Francois Kevorkian, Luciano, Magda, Ellen Allien, Mark Houle, Shinedoe, Steve Lawler, Carl Cox, Sven Vath.. The same year, under the Kinsmen brand, Galante and Pighi produce a new soulful single titled "Found a reason" (which also features the voice of Wendy Lewis), which is to be published in september 2008... In 2009 Galante forms The Freakers with Pighi, and Mastini...In 2011 release on Slaag Traax new single of Kinsmen titled "Get Up" His motto? The best has yet to come...
