Straight out of the heart of Los Angeles, California – DJ Jounce is making some serious noise in the Electronic Dance Music scene with his unique blend of electro house, progressive house, trance and dubstep. Jounce started off 2013 with a 3 week tour of Asia and DJ’d in Hong Kong, Seoul, S. Korea, Tokyo, Japan, Bangkok, Thailand and Hanoi, Vietnam. He is scheduled to DJ this August 2013 in Europe including Amnesia and Pacha in Ibiza. Jounce is signed with Sara Cooper PR, press manager for world renown DJs such as Carl Cox.
Jounce began writing and performing music in grade school. In 2006, Jounce graduated at the top of his class from the Recording Institute of Technology (RIT) at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. A few years later, he was signed to underground indie label Room Trip Records. He plays guitar, piano & bass and claims to sing exceptionally well in the shower. As a songwriter, musician and producer, Jounce is consistently creating original and respectable music for his growing legion of fans worldwide. “Music is my life and there’s nothing else I’d rather be doing. It won’t end until I get to share this beautiful madness in my head with the world. Get your earful now!” He is currently working on his next CD “Proof of Bullets” scheduled to be released in 2013.
In 2011, Jounce recorded his debut CD “Temporal Ascent”, which was released on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and all major digital distribution channels. Two tracks from “Temporal Ascent” were signed to the official Rock Band video game platform and are now available to the public: “Ooh La La” feat. Sherryce and “I Gotchu Babe” feat. Rachel Lynn Sebastian. “Ooh La La” was also included on the official Winter Music Conference 2012 Compilation CD and had a music video filmed. His CD has received critical acclaim from reviewers and fans alike. “Not many minds would be able to piece together the beats that Jounce has and certainly not in the style that he has arranged them. His talents are second to none and Jounce is a mastermind when it comes to dance music,” declared Ryo Vie of “The Rock N Roll Guru”.
Jounce’s music has played on various radio stations including Indie 100 (Los Angeles), KALX 90.7 FM (Berkeley), KDVS 90.3 FM (UC Davis), as well as on Internet radio alongside his influences such as Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Tiesto, Calvin Harris and Bingo Players. “A Memory Of”, the 4th track on Jounce’s CD, and his collaboration with Sha Sabi, “These Walls Have Eyes”, have both received continuous radio play on KKUP 91.5 FM (Cupertino) and KOWS 107.3 FM.
Jounce has enjoyed several DJ residencies and entertained large audiences in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and around the globe for his international fans. For many shows, he incorporates visualization FX in sync with the music and projected onto large screens. In 2011, Jounce DJ’d at the Official Paley Center Grammy Party in Beverly Hills. In 2012, he was the headlining DJ for a 54th Grammy Awards After-Party at Ecco in Hollywood. Jounce was the closing DJ on the main stage at the 2012 Sunset Music Festival in Miami.
Jounce has been a featured guest on Mickey’s Maximum Exposure Radio Show on Indie 100 in Los Angeles, on VMas TV (over 6 million viewers), on Radio Seoul’s DTF Show that aired on 1650 AM in Los Angeles in early 2012, and on the ArtistFirst World Radio Network with Corey King. He’s been a featured artist on MadeLoud.com and has also been interviewed by the Examiner in Los Angeles. In the Summer of 2010, everyone could emulate a piece of Jounce’s unique style, as Calvin Klein featured DJ Jounce in its worldwide marketing campaign for the launch of CK’s new Brand X clothing.
