Dave Payne

House Electro House Progressive House +1

Influenced by the likes of Pete Tong, Danny Rampling, Erick Morillo and Judge Jules, Dave’s sound is definitely one to fill the dance floors with big beats and euphoric melodies. Similar to his peers, he likes to experiment across the house genre, playing a mix of house, progressive and tech-house, using big vocals and epic synths to get those hands in the air.

As a graduate of the Ministry of Sound Academy Dave has perfected his DJing skills and presence behind the decks. The big hitters at Ministry certainly noticed something special, and invited him back to make his first UK club debut featuring on the line-up along side Sharam, Tom Middleton and Alex Kenji at the world-famous club night Global Underground.

In October 2010 Dave took centre-stage on the Reloop DJ Stand at BPM, Europe’s biggest event dedicated to DJs, electronic music production and club culture. Since then he’s played along side the Cut-Up Boys and Kate Lawler, rocking main room crowds in the UK’s most infamous nightclubs including ‘The EGG’ in London. UK fashion label 'Luke' invited Dave to play along side K-Klass at an exclusive Vip opening party following the unveiling of their brand new store in Leicester.

It wasn't long before Dave found his way into the studio, joining forces with fellow Midlands producer Ric Scott, the pair quickly formed a partnership that resulted in their first track ‘The Chase’ being released on iTunes. Yet again combining their talents, the pair signed to Colorful Records & released the hugely successful summer anthem 'Sunrise'. Released on March 11th 2011 it didn't take long before support from across the globe started to build. Pedro Del Mar (Anjunabeats/Mellowmania) featured the track in his monthly Podcast , shortly followed by Trance legend M.I.K.E Push in his Club elite sessions radio show. Radio support came in the form of a month long slot as the 'tune of the week' on NRG 95.6FM Rhodes, as well as Toronto's Chin FM supporting the track on its weekly shows.

Following the success of the track, both radio stations invited Dave & Ric to put together exclusive guest mixes that would be broadcast across the airwaves. On April 29th 'Scott & Payne' took to the decks for a one hour mix following on from Stealth Records head honcho Roger Sanchez. Then on June 13th the duo took over the Dance department at NRG 95.6FM for a specially extended two hour guest mix. Sunrise is now licensed to two compilations & is available to download on Beatport, itunes & all other digital stores.

Since his arrival on the scene in 2010 Dave has established himself as a forward thinking DJ with a unstoppable passion and Energy for music. With residencies across the Midlands as well as his own self styled party brand the 'TakeOver' becoming the back bone of his party calendar, he has still found time to continue to shine, playing at UK super Club Gatecrasher in 2011 and a little further afield in at Cafe Mambo Ibiza during September 2012.

The production partnership of 'Scott & Payne' continues to go from strength to strength. With remixes and original work's now signed to 4in4out Miami, Funkin . Colorful , Vacate, 23rd Precinct, Nicky Zimmer and Base Records.

Current Residencies for Revolution Loughborough and Fat Cat Leicester throughout 2013
