Within an extremely short amount of time, Michael Stewart aka Beat Tribe, has introduced himself as one of dance music's newest hot tickets, and he has the talent to back it up.
After a number of releases on San Francisco's Spundae Black Records including "The Day After" and "Ascencion", Beat Tribe's unique blend of tribal, tech infused soundscapes established himself as a force to be reckoned with. He has remixed a number of artists, including Festiva, Simos Tagias and Pierre Zamyatin of Modu Records and Russian techno prodigy Pavel Sheemano.
His remixing skills caught the attention of Aloha Records boss Omid 16B, who selected Beat Tribe's remix of the classic "The Game" as the grand prize winner for a Beatport Play competition. That release, along with some other big name producers, will be released as an exclusive remix pack available on Beatport.
The success doesnt seem to be ending anytime soon. Michael has been hard at work at a full length album, will an expected release date of November. Look for some upcoming remixes to be released on Italian based techno label Model as well as some remixes and originals on Athens based label, Modu Records.
In the meantime, you can catch his weekly podcast "Subterranean" on Trance Domain every Sunday evening from 7pm to 9pm CST. He also makes a monthly appearance on UK's Innervisions Radio as a guest mix.
