Ballistics is an Electro House artist consisting of 20 year old producer/ DJ Gary Milne.
Originally from the heart of Scotland, Ballistics has been mixing and producing tracks for around 8 months making a variety of tracks containing lightning fast licks, guitar based synthesizers, fat bass hooks and catchy vocal cuts. His main influences include Feed Me, Deadmau5, Fake Blood, Porter Robinson, Soulwax and Brodinski, helping to influence, shape and inspire catchy, uplifting tracks guaranteed to fill any dance floor.
After playing guitar since the age of 11 and performing at various shows and venues around the UK, Ballistics fell in love with EDM, particularly Electro House, in the fall of 2008 with the release of Feed Me’s Debut EP “The Spell/ Raw Chicken.”
After experiencing the hard-hitting, dirty side of electronic dance music, Ballistics continued to explore the vast variety of Electro, House and EDM to further his knowledge of the aspects required to compose and produce quality dance music.
September 2009, Ballistics began to study at the University of Derby, enrolling upon the Pop Music and Music Technology course, showing passion and enthusiasm towards all aspects and areas the course contained, especially the recording and studio production side of things. After completing the first 2 years at Derby University focused mainly upon guitar compositions and studio work, the urge to try something new kept re-occurring until a new music project evolved.
In late Summer 2011 after 3 years of listening to different variants of dance music and going to several shows, Ballistics was formed. After having tracks aired via BBC Radio 1 and support shown from many popular figures in the music industry, Ballistics Debut EP “Cherry Popper” is due for release on BRM Electro, summer 2012. Packed with 4 slammin’ summer tunes to get the dance floor moving, Ballistics first release is one that should not be missed.
Now having finished University and passing with distinction Ballistics will continue to produce and release hard-hitting, Electro House tracks, with a twist of electric guitar influence to take the genre of music to a different level completely.
